I'm just sitting here on pins and needles, waiting to get a phone call. One of my doula clients is due tomorrow (Thanksgiving!) with her second baby. Her first baby was born ON his due date. And last night she had a couple of hours of contractions that were consistently 10 minutes apart. I'm so excited! The birth time is just so magical. This client is a good friend too, and I'm so excited for her to meet her new soon. This is a VBAC too--my first--so I'm very excited to be getting this experience and happy to support my friend.
So now I've got my doula bag packed, the car tanked up (this birth is 90 minutes away), my caffeine in the fridge, my hair washed, and my teeth brushed. I'm ready. And I'm sure this mom is ready to go too.
