It is wet here
That might not sound like news. I do live in the Pacific Northwest afterall, and it is December...the time of dark days and damp air. But it is really wet here right now, so wet that I-5, the major interstate that runs north-south from Canada to Mexico through Washington, Oregon, and California, is currently under 10 feet of water. Footage on the news stations looks like New Orleans after the levies broke, but nope. It is just here, and it is just from heavy rains. Thankfully, Corvallis has largely been spared, save some flooded intersections and minor wind damage. Tens of thousands are still without power, and many people are missing. Thankfully, now the weather is supposed to turn a bit sunnier. But Oregon did lose a big treasure - a Sitka Spruce which was the largest living thing in Oregon broke during the storm.
