You can taste the electricity in the air. There is no voting in Oregon today, but most everyone I know will be tuning in tonight to hear the results of the various caucuses and primaries. I'm really feeling like we will have a clear leader in the Democratic race after today. And because I feel the country just HAS HAS HAS to swing to the Dems this year, I feel that the leader after today will be our new President come 2009.
So who do I want? Well, my first choice was Kucinich. I've always matched very well with his politics and am sad he'll never have a real shot at getting elected. Between Clinton and Obama, I'm quite torn. They aren't terribly different in policies. Each has some strong qualities they could bring to the Office. I've always wanted a woman in office, and I've always wanted an African-American in office. I can't believe we have to choose. When it comes down to it, I feel Obama is more electable and has a better shot against McCain. So in interest of getting a Dem in the Office in '09, I am hoping Obama is the leader after tonight.
