I had a FABULOUS time in Seattle at Penny Simkin's workshop on attending laboring mothers who've experienced early childhood sexual abuse or previous birth trauma. It was really phenomenal, and should be required training for all birth attendants. Among the attendees was Karen Strange, CPM, instructor for neonatal resuscitation program, which she's teaching in Corvallis in a week. I'll be in on that class too.
More soon. I've got some catching up to do at home. It was a long 2.5 days away from the kids.

You know, Penny said something about coming to Canada soon for a conference. You might check into stuff in your area. You never know...she may show up!
If so, definitely go the distance to get there.
