Pics of Baby Boy C

Baby Boy C's parents (birth at 29 weeks 6 days) have given me permission to share a few pictures. These were taken with my cell phone, so please forgive the lack of clarity and the desperate need for a flash.

This first one is about 90 minutes or so after the birth. The tubes on his face are the CPAP. His eyes are taped shut. The wires monitor his breathing and heartrate. He's got more attached to his feet. And somewhere I think he had an IV. The NP tube (down to his stomach) wasn't inserted until the next day I think).
This one is really fuzzy, but I had to share it. This is both his parents getting to touch him for the first time.
And that is me, all suited up in the OR. This was taken shortly after the birth, so I'm all relaxed and happy that mom did great and baby appeared (for the 30 seconds we saw him before he headed to the NICU) good.

I spoke to Mommy M today and it sounds like they are holding up okay. Baby Boy C had a major infection one day, but has recovered and overall is doing well. He's gained around 3/4 of a pound over his birthweight! He's still on CPAP, but it is just room air and the pressure has been significantly reduced. They say he has only 1 or 2 more steps before it is removed. Mommy M is pumping 8 times a day and getting some milk, but she seems discouraged that it isn't very much. I think she's doing really great. I'm just contiuously impressed with how this family is holding together during such a stressful time. Daddy P is working hard to get the house ready for Baby Boy C's arrival home (in another month or so). I'll be visiting them next weekend at the hospital, where hopefully I'll get to see Baby Boy C again.
